Our next meeting will be Saturday, November 17th beginning at 9 am. We will be meeting at Riverbend Nursery on Hwy 431.  Carolyn George will have a presentation on "Winterizing your Garden".

2012 October 13th Meeting

Hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful fall weather and a great opportunity for fall gardening. The next SHGC Meeting will be Saturday, October 13th at 9 am. We will be meeting at the Winchester Center. Our speaker will be Colleen Embry from Elite Physical Therapy helping us with our aches and pains from gardening and proper mechanics.

2012 September 15th Meeting

I am really excited about sending this message regarding our meeting on Saturday, Sept. 15^th, at 9:00am.  For this year's craft project, Dianne Hill and Mary Pogge will show us how to make garden “glass art” and “concrete leaves  with a face”.  They will be demonstrating the assembly process only because both projects require curing time and we wouldn’t be able to start/finish personal projects.  She will provide handouts with project instructions. 

The meeting will be at Dianne’s house (she had too many pieces to transport to the Center) and believes she will have enough seating for everyone but please bring a folding chair just in case it’s needed. Directions to Dianne's house have been sent out to the members.

The Evans Park Garden Bed

Take a look at the Evans Park Garden! The Evans Park garden is another garden tended by the Spring Hill Garden Club.  Nearby is the Winchester Center where we have our regular monthly meetings.

Congratulations to Onalee, the winner of the Spring Hill Garden Club Best Bed Award!  Her garden beds are at the entrance to Jerry Erwin park on Kedron Road in Spring Hill.

2012 August 18th Meeting

Now that your garden is in full production, learn how to preserve your harvest. Our next SHGC Meeting will be August 18th at 9 am at the Winchester Center. Our speaker will be Patsy Watkins from the Williamson Co Ag Extension. She will be lecturing on Canning and Preserving.

2012 July 21st Meeting

The next meeting of the Spring Hill Garden Club will be Saturday, July 21st beginning at 9 a.m. Our speaker will be Jonathan Black, Williamson Co. UT Ag Ext agent. He will be discussing "Fruits for the Home Gardener".   We will meet at the Winchester Center.
